Developing a new partnership with local company creates opportunities

We will be spending  over £100k a year with Snowdonia Fire Protection, totalling half a million over the next five years

We have awarded our Fire Safety Servicing and Maintenance contract to Snowdonia Fire Protection Ltd, based in Waunfawr, Gwynedd following a recent competitive tender process.

The contract awarded by us will enable Snowdonia Fire Protection to recruit one new apprentice, one administrator and one fire engineer

Iwan Trefor Jones, our Deputy Chief Executive said:

“We are delighted to have awarded this contract to local company Snowdonia Fire Protection. Adra is growing and creating homes, jobs and opportunities across north Wales as well as contributing to the local economy.

“One new apprenticeship opportunity will be created as a result which makes us proud. This is a way for local talent to develop their skills and knowledge while earning a living.

“We at Adra have recently set up our own academy called Academi Adra, where we are investing in employment and skills opportunities for local people including our tenants and see this as a priority.”

This vital contract will see Snowdonia take responsibility for maintaining the Fire safety systems and firefighting equipment within the communal areas, as well as the maintenance of the sprinkler systems across our newly built homes.

“We are very pleased to have been awarded the contract and to be working with ADRA on their Fire Safety requirements – and in a period of real growth for them too.  We will be recruiting additional team members from the area to support the work we will be carrying out their behalf, and are proud to be working with them.

Our ongoing contractual requirements to support their growth will also lead to future employment opportunities with us, and our contribution to other Adra community initiatives also.”
