Academi Adra providing opportunities to locals

We are thrilled to welcome two new members to the Adra team, who are joining us as part of a 16-week paid placement with Academi Adra.
After successfully completing a 2-week Admin Course with Academi Adra, both have joined us in different departments.

As part of their 2-week Admin course with Academi Adra both completed training for the first week and putting those skills into practise during their second week on work experience with us in our offices. Giving them a taste of working in a real office environment.

Following completing the course everyone was offered an interview for a 16-week placement, both Daniella and Hanna were successful.

Hanna Ross has joined our Human Resources Team, as a growing company with over 350 staff you can imagine there is plenty to do! Hanna recently graduated from Bangor University but feels she needs more experience in an office environment.

“I’m learning to use several computer programmes within the team here, the course has already taught me so many new skills. I hope that these skills and experiences will benefit me when applying for jobs in the future. I’m very grateful to Adra and Academi Adra for this experience.”

We hope that through schemes like this one we will nurture and keep local talent within our communities here in North Wales and give them a confident boost and useful experiences when applying for jobs in the future.

Daniella Williams has joined the team over at Tŷ Gwyrddfai, our brand-new decarbonisation centre in Penygroes. Tŷ Gwyrddfai is the first centre of its kind in the UK and is a joint project between Bangor University, Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and us. The purpose of the Centre is to training local people and companies on how to use the latest green technology in construction.
Part of Daniella’s work during her time with us is to coordinate and support staff to organize events, training, and meetings. She is also the receptionist at Tŷ Gwyrddfai where she welcomes visitors to the Centre.
Julie Stokes-Jones the Business Manager at Tŷ Gwyrddfai is very glad that Academi Adra have been able to offer such an amazing opportunity to Daniella:

“Daniella has contributed so much to the business in such a short space of time, we try and offer as much variety as possible within the 16-week period that will be useful to her in future roles.”

Academi Adra courses run regularly, keep an eye on our website and social media to hear about the latest opportunities, who knows you might be on our next paid work placement with us or one of our Partners!
