Adra continues to encourage Women into Construction

This latest event at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Llangefni campus was targeted towards mainly year 7-9 girls and was attended by more than 90 potential construction workers of the future. 

There to support Adra’s stand were Catrin Leadbitter, a Senior Operations Manager on the Trwsio team and Sara Fon Williams, a Project Manager on the Assets team. Catrin said, 

“It was encouraging to see so many young women taking an interest in getting into the construction industry. The variety of jobs available is vast and not just on the tools either. I can’t wait to see more women working in this industry in the future!”  

Adra are leading the way in targeting women to work in the construction industry and has already held a successful event at Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle back in March on International Women’s Day. This event was titled ‘Not Just for Boys’ and 65 young women had a taste of what it was like to work in the construction industry.
