Community Investment Fund – Neuadd Goffa Mynydd Llandygai
Mynydd Llandygai Memorial Hall recently received funding through Adra’s Community Investment Fund to purchase a CCTV system to fit outside the Hall.
Mynydd Llandygai provides a valuable resource for the community, a number of community events i. e History society, Zumba fitness classes, parent and child classes and many more activities.
This is what Karen who is a member of the memorial hall’s committee had to say about the grant received:
“Thank you so much Adra for the grant towards our project. As a small community it’s hard to know where to start to find funding towards a community venture. We decided to ask for funding towards a CCTV system as our small village Hall was being frequently targeted by vandals. Having received the grant, and installed the system, even though it’s still early days, we haven’t had any problems and the cameras seem to be an excellent deterrent. As the system can be accessed through mobile phones, we can check on the building anytime of day knowing our Hall and its users are safe and that in the event of any incident we have evidence for the Police if need be.”
