Joining forces to protect tenant safety
We joined forces with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service recently to test our joint response to fire in one of our properties.
A house being prepared for tenants on the outskirts of Bangor was used to test how both organisations would respond to a fire, should one break out.
Firefighters familiarised themselves with the layout of Adra properties and the location of gas and electricity mains, to assist them in any real life emergency.
Eilian Roberts, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s Service Delivery Manager for the West Area, said:
“This was a great opportunity for our crews to become accustomed to the layout of Adra’s properties and practice our search techniques.
“We’re proud to be working in partnership with Adra in this way to protect our communities.”
Gareth Roberts, Operations Supervisor (Vehicles & Equipment), said: “Collaborating with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service at one of our properties in Bangor gave us an opportunity to maintain and promote good working relationships.
“It was a great opportunity to share skills, knowledge, and experience to allow the efficient management of incidents whilst also identifying key areas within our properties for things such as the location of gas and electricity mains and flooring layouts. This will help us reducing overall risks in the event of any incidents within our properties”.
