St David’s Day Activities
St David’s day is an important day in Wales, as St David’s is the Patron Saint of Wales.
Our Community team members have been extremely busy running community activities and events to mark the occasion through last week.
In Maes Padarn, afternoon tea boxes were shared with our customers by our contractor, W.F. Claytons. Thanks to local company, Plas Coch for creating these lovely boxes. Our staff at Adra, Claytons staff and the local Councillor handed out the boxes in the community on St David’s day.
The St David’s celebrations and activities continued on the second of March as Adra collaborated with Menter Iaith Bangor and had a Learn Welsh taster session from Mei Owen from Gwynedd Council for some of our tenants at Llys Dewi Sant, as well as a cuppa and cake and were given a St David’s Day Quiz.
Further celebrations were held towards the end of the week, we organised an afternoon tea in Penygroes as we worked together with Yr Orsaf. Everyone had a St David’s Day quiz, Welsh cakes and scones. Thanks to all the partners and brilliant staff that organised all these events to our customers and tenants.
